In a standard therapy session, we will start with a brief check-in, followed by a discussion of your concerns. The therapist may use specific techniques to help you explore your thoughts and feelings, with a focus on your therapy goals. If you are experiencing a particular entrepreneurial milestone, such as raising capital, launching a product, building a team, acquisitions and mergers, the therapist may discuss the specifics, so they better understand some of the stressors you are experiencing.
Towards the end, we will summarize key points and set goals for the next session. The session usually concludes with scheduling and any final questions.

Yes, all of our therapists are registered mental health professionals with different designations. If you would like to use your insurance to cover the cost of a session, we encourage you to read the fine print of your policy to ensure your therapist’s credentials are covered.

All therapists are licensed with their applicable licensing board after successfully completing the necessary education, exams, training, and practice. This means that when you talk to a licensed therapist online or in-person, they are subject to the mandated reporting and confidentiality requirements.
Generally, the therapist will keep what you tell them confidential, but there are limited exceptions. For example, if you threaten grave harm to yourself or to an identifiable victim the therapist is required to report this information to relevant authorities. Before starting therapy, please discuss with your therapist their legal obligations to confidentiality if you have any concerns or questions.
