Introducing the Thriving Minds: Empowering Innovators series

Exciting news, folks! The Collectively Tangled team is thrilled to announce the new Thriving Minds: Empowering Innovators series! In partnership with Platform Calgary, Innovate Calgary, and Rainforest Alberta, Collectively Tangled and Peer Guidance bring you a six-session series where we'll explore common challenges experienced by individuals working in the startup and innovation space.

Hosted monthly, alternating between in-person session locations and virtual sessions, this series aims to bring the innovation community together to connect and collaborate as we develop increased resilience. As a participant, you will walk away with an increased support system, an increased understanding of the support available within the community, and with tangible tools and skills that you can utilize when experiencing similar challenges as discussed in session.

We’re all about community here at Collectively Tangled—we know it takes a village (more like an ecosystem!) to achieve the growth and success we’re all looking for. Work in innovation can be a lonely journey, but it’s important to remember that you’re not alone. We’re all in this together.

About the sessions:

Our first event, on October 19th, Saying ‘Yes’ to Saying ‘No’, is all about how to navigate life’s demands in the innovation space while maintaining your well-being. We’ll be talking boundaries, priorities, and ways to balance competing demands. Sessions are free of charge and light lunch will be provided. Registration is required via Eventbrite (see out Events page for link). Check out our Events page for topics, themes, and registration leading up to each subsequent event.

Following each monthly event, attendees will have the chance to signup for free advisory sessions with the team at Peer Guidance. If you don’t know them, they’re a team of experienced entrepreneurs, founders, and business leaders who love to give back to and share their wealth of knowledge with our community. You might have heard Jade Alberts hosting Telling It Like It Is or maybe you’ve attended one of their weekly Founders Coffee meetups. In the complimentary advisory sessions, the Peer Guidance team can further support with topics discussed each month, or can support with additional business/work-related concerns. Registration for coaching sessions will be available on a first come, first served basis each month following the main event.

Save the date(s) for the third Thursday of each month (*save for a holiday changeup in December) for in-person and virtual sessions.
